If you’re not already following Dee’s amazing fashion blog, go do it now!!
I don’t know if I have any readers to my little place on the internet yet, but I’m having lots of fun sorting through my wardrobes and drawers putting together outfits for my soon to be shot outfit of the day etc. It’s been such terrible weather here the last few days I haven’t had chance to get outside with the camera but I’ve plenty planned! You may be wondering why I decided to do a plus size fashion blog – it’s something I have been interested in for a long time, especially since the clothing lines for curvier women have become more plentiful. I stumbled across another couple of blogs almost by accident while searching for ASOS Curve in google. Both by absolutely gorgeous girls who have their own unique styles. Cupcakes Clothes is run by a girl called Georgina and I absolutely love her cute kitsch dresses and outfits of the day posts. Dee from Pearls, Lace and Ruffles has a style I can really see myself in – I love the flesh tones in her dresses and with a bit more confidence I’d love to wear lighter colours. I do tend to stick to dark or bold colours but I have been jumping out of my comfort zone somewhat lately…
Which brings me onto the next part of my update today. I have RED SKINNY JEANS… well technically they are Jeggings as all of the jeans I have tried on haven’t been long enough in the body. I went into my local “Select” and there they were. Slightly worried about what they would look like, I grabbed some matching tops and tried them on in the changing room and loved it all so much I ended up with 2 new tops and the red jeggings. Got a size 18, even though they were stretchy which looking back was maybe a bad idea as while wearing them today, I spent most of the day pulling them back up as they kept falling down lol. I’ll be sure to post a photo when I wear them again for an outfit of the day!
I thought it would be a nice little feature to do wishlists of my favourite plus size fashion stores online each month with a set trend in mind. At the moment I am absolutely loving animal print, especially leopard print. I have been experimenting with leopard print nails handpainted of course. Anyway, here is my wishlist for January 2012 from ASOS Curve… Let me know what you think!
1) ASOS Curve Skater Dress In Spot Lace 2)ASOS Pollyanna Platform Court Shoe in Leopard Effect
3) Limited Edition Wristband With Animal Print and Gold Screw Detail 4) Orelia Sparkle Hoop Earrings
5) ASOS Curve Faux Fur Coat with Contrast Hem 6) Disney Couture Gold Plated Believe Ring
Yesterday me and my mum decided to hit the sales and see what bargains we could find and i’m not sure if it’s because we left it a few days after Christmas, or if it’s just coincidence but the in store sales seemed to be really rubbish compared to online. I need to get past my phobia of ordering online I think because I was sorely disappointed with the lack of variety in the sales when it came to clothes and jewellery… Mum did treat me to two oversized rings which look fantastic with my acrylic nails. I absolutely love oversized rings!! She also got me some Black XS perfume but that wasn’t in the sale… boo!
I tried on barbie pink jeans in New Look, which did fit but they were hipster jeans and I really want to find some which will go over my tummy, not underneath it!! lol… Will keep an eye out for them online as I also want a red pair, but can’t work out which is more important. Photos coming soon!
