Scarlett and Jo are one of the brands that I just keep coming back to.  I absolutely love the styles and quality of their dresses and now with the beautiful Georgina Grogan being the face of Scarlett & Jo, her Instagram account is like one massive billboard for me.  My bank account is not so happy with this arrangement, but when you buy a Scarlett & Jo dress, you know that it is going to last and that you’ll be able to wear it to a number of occasions.  I justify my purchases by telling myself that I’m not just buying a dress… I’m buying an investment.

I had a bit of a mental battle recently when the Roses are Red collection launched a month or so back.  I was completely drawn to the full length stretch lace dress that had been designed for Georgina, but I knew that as much as I loved it, it was one that I would struggle to find an occasion to wear it for.  Thankfully a few days later on one of my many visits to the Evans website, I spotted the most gorgeous blue and black lace dress, with the signature wide belt that pulls in your waist – similar to the floral prom dress that I previously purchased. It was quickly ordered and once it had arrived, I had to take it with me into the studio to do it some justice!

Blue Lace 2 in 1 Prom Dress: Scarlett & Jo @ Evans,
£60 (currently in sale for £42), Size: 14, Bracelets: New Look, Heels: Ebay

What more can I say about this dress?  It is simply stunning – the colour, fit, fabric…  I absolutely love it.  I’m wearing the size 14 and it fits perfectly. I don’t know Gifi (the man behind the magic) personally, however I’m going to have to beg him to design the Scarlett and Jo range from a size 12 soon!  As for the rest of the Roses are Red collection, you really need to go and check it out!  I want the whole range, alas the mortgage needs to be paid first.  It sucks being an adult sometimes!

The blue lace 2 in 1 prom dress is currently reduced to £42.00 (usually £60) and is available in sizes 14 to 32.
