Have you ever heard of IKrush
before? I am the first to admit I was completely oblivious to this brand until I was contacted by the lovely Gemma who wanted to tell me all about their online boutique of clothing, shoes and accessories. I had a good look around the site and was impressed by how modern it looked and how easy it was to use. IKrush was founded in 2012 in Glasgow with an aim of providing high quality fashion at a reasonable price. They seem to have done the trick too, with gorgeous clothing, especially dresses! Shoes, handbags and even a selection of jewellery and other accessories.

When Curvissa got in contact with me to see if I wanted to be involved in a 5-way review of the Ostrich Textured Clutch Bag*
, I knew immediately what I wanted to style it for! Valentines Day is approaching this weekend and although my husband and I don’t really celebrate it, we are going out for a meal at Nandos (my choice) during the next few days. I’m a firm believer that you should show your significant other that you love them every single day, not just February 14th!

If you’ve never heard of Online Avenue
before, you might want to sit up and listen, especially if you love shoes like I do! Online Avenue are an online store selling footwear with an aim to expanding to both clothing and accessories and they have some really affordable pieces. I am a huge fan of heels, and I don’t own enough of them even though they are much easier to buy as your feet generally don’t change in size. I was recently very lucky to be given the opportunity to review some beautiful embellished heels* and I must admit, I couldn’t wait for the postman to arrive.

I have had a bit of a run of good luck lately, winning £250 of Evans vouchers, a Ciate nail varnish gingerbread house set and a letterbox Christmas cake of my choice from Baker Days. This giveaway was run by the lovely Sally from The Human Mannequin
and I was lucky enough to receive my cake in the post a couple of days ago.

My love affair with corsets started around 10 years ago when I was shopping with my sister in London to help her find a structured corset ballgown to wear to a school black tie event for the parents. All very posh I must say! I’d never really heard of corsets before, especially not ones with steel boning but while we were in the middle of a boutique shop scattered with hundreds of different styles I thought I would try one on while I was waiting to ease my boredom. My sister could shop in the Olympics! The result I got was absolutely outstanding. I was a little bigger than I am now, with a 38 inch (or bigger) waist, yet the steel boned corset that I was wearing nipped me in, in all the right places giving me the perfect hourglass figure. I was mesmerised by my reflection staring back at me!

Not so long ago I mentioned that I was cancelling my Glossybox subscription because I felt that the money I was spending (although reasonable) could be better spent elsewhere. I felt like I was missing out on it in September, so I resubscribed without even missing a box and while I was sitting in an outpatients department of a hospital with my mum and wifi access I may have subscribed to Birchbox

I’m a big fan of babydolls and I have quite a few from different retailers. I find they cover a bit more skin yet look just as sexy as bra sets. You can imagine my excitement when I was contacted by Nine X Lingerie
and asked if I would like to review a baby doll from their new collection. Oh yeah!
Nine X Lingerie is a brand that I first discovered by reading reviews on other plus size fashion blogs. Their website is really attractive, with plenty of pink and black and the product range is quite vast. In babydolls alone, there are pages of different styles and colours in sizes 12 to 30! The baby doll I was offered to review is the Finella Black and Grey Lace Pattern Baby doll. It has a very seductive mesh panel down the front, which I was a little nervous about showing my wobbly bits, but I said I was up for trying it out. As soon as it arrived I knew I had made the right decision.

For July, I was a little unsure about who to review for my next installment of Retailers Reviewed. I figured I would expand my little project to include “mainstream” brands because if I continue on my little health kick, it won’t be too long until I am a size 14. That will open up a multitude of new clothing brands that I have never been able to try before, but unfortunately will mean I will need to leave some of the plus size brands behind
I put out a post on Twitter to see which of the following brands my readers wanted to see me review. The choices were Pink Clove, Simply Be or Boohoo, or indeed any other clothing brand that carried size 16 / 18 clothing. The ultimate winner was Boohoo and I was secretly a little chuffed about that because its a brand I’ve always wanted to try, but have been nervous as I didn’t know how generous the sizing was.
I loaded up the website, on both my PC and my tablet. There seems to be a dedicated website for tablet users which is really easy to use and the website itself was very self explanatory and I spent hours looking through their range of clothing. I decided to peruse both the “main” range and also the Boohoo Plus Size range which starts at a UK 16 and carries most products up to a 24.
After adding hundreds of pounds of products to my basket, I whittled them down to just two and believe me it wasn’t easy. There were so many bright coloured, summer items that were screaming at me to order them but I was relatively good and my order came to a reasonable £36, not including shipping.

I have known about Yours Clothing
for a little while now and they became more familiar to me when I met them at Plus North in Manchester. The lovely Charlotte broke the ice at my first ever plus size fashion convention. I always see plenty of plus size bloggers who look fabulous in their clothing, and although I constantly drool over their website, I’ve never had the pleasure of trying any of their items on…. until yesterday!
I was visiting Cardiff for the day after dropping Mr FH at an exam, so I had every intention of visiting the Yours Clothing store in the St David’s Centre, in Cardiff. I thought it would be best to check with head office to make sure that I was allowed to take photographs of the store, so I contacted Jacqs to let her know I was going. She was extremely helpful and explained that she would let the store know so that there weren’t any problems. Everyone I’ve spoken to at Yours Clothing have been absolute gems.

A week or so ago, a skincare company known as Cutagen were on the lookout for beauty bloggers to sample their skincare range. Since I am now including beauty products as well as fashion on my blog, I applied and was accepted to receive some samples through the post from the lovely Carolin.
Cutagen is an ethically driven company that uses a combination of science and medical professionals to develop their products. They are a British company and all of their product testing is done in the UK. So far so good.
My Cutagen samples arrived a couple of days ago, and were in the form of many different sachets of products, ranging from moisturisers to hand wash. I decided to trial out the products after a workout to give myself some much needed pampering.
